I am conducting a survey of names of academic departments/schools that teach
such subjects as biomechanics, exercise physiology, motor learning/control,
sports psychology, sports sociology and similar subjects. At one time, the
majority of these academic units probably had a name similar to 'physical
education' or 'physical and health education'. However, today there seems
to be a plethora of alternative names out there.
If where you work falls into this category, please send me an email (if your
email includes a signature with the academic unit name, you don't even have
to include anything else in the email). Next week, I will post a summary of
these names on the Biomechanics and Movement Science Web Discussion Forum
(http://movement-analysis.com/biomch_l) for those who might be interested in
the results.
Thank you for your time.
Cheers,
