    As our Nike Sports Research Lab Research I - Physiology, you'll participate
    in the execution of the Footwear, Apparel and Equipment division research
    agendas. You'll develop new procedures and methods to improve efficiency.
    You'll also perform research aimed at increasing understanding of athletes'
    thermoregulatory and physiological needs and activity requirements. You'll
    be a full-time member of the Oregon Project and contribute to physiological
    research aimed at improving products. You'll also interact with the Senior
    Researcher in all phases of research. You'll participate in the development
    of new tools, methods and procedures, including hardware and software,
    streamline data acquisition, process and analysis to improve research
    efficiency. You'll also become the resident expert for one of the research
    tools used by the Nike Sports Research Lab (NSRL) staff. You'll provide
    training for colleagues and liaison with supplier of chosen research tool.
    You'll also be responsible for equipment maintenance and supplies. You'll
    support Corporate Communication by giving lab tours. This opportunity also
    involves demonstrating Nike commitment to product performance research
    through presentations at scientific meetings, clinics and conferences and
    publication in scientific journals. In addition, you'll contribute
    manuscripts to the Sport Research Review and Medical Field.

    Requirements for the position include:
    - Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or associated fields
    of research, including Human Factors Engineering, Human Kinetics and
    Ergonomics or a Bachelor's degree in these areas of research or in science
    with 3 years' experience in physiological/training/testing research
    - Demonstrated ability to perform physiological evaluation is
    a must
    - Able to be a team player while being able to work with
    minimal supervision
    - Experience evaluating oxygen uptake, Vo2, lactic acid, skin
    temperature and core temperature is preferred
    - Research experience related to athletic training at altitude
    and at different climatic conditions is preferred
