Dear all,
For those who haven't seen it, the BBC is trialing an interesting idea for the
Euro 2004 football championship currently taking place in Portugal. It's called
Virtual Replay, and provides animation of the goals scored from a variety of
viewpoints:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/virtualreplay/euro2004
I don't know how this is engineered, but I can imagine that this sort of
facility will become increasingly popular in the future for other sporting
action.
You'll need a Shockwave plug-in, by the way, which should download
automatically.
