  • Center of mass or 5th lumbar

    Dear all:
Recently, I want to calculate my subject's center of
mass. But my subject's right leg muscle is atrophy. So
I can't find proper body segment parameters to
estimate his right leg' mass. I ever heard the 5th
lumbar can represent the center of mass of human body.
If I want to go into a formal research, which one is
the best choice to calculate center of mass.

ps:If anyone know some technique to calculate body
segment parameters like my subject's leg or some
reference relating my question, tell me, please.
    ~Sincerely~

    Yu-Chuan Liu.
