    2005 SUMMER BIOENGINEERING CONFERENCE
    First Announcement

We are pleased to announce that the 2005 Summer Bioengineering
Conference dates and venue are now set. Following the very
successful, and first, meeting at a beach location (Key Biscayne,
Florida in 2003), and based on the survey responses of the meeting
participants for alternating, we are returning to the mountains!
Please mark your calendars as the 2005 Summer Bioengineering
    Conference will be held at:
Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, Vail, Colorado
    June 22 - June 26, 2005

Start your summer in the mountains and enjoy the stunning scenery and
amenities at Vail's premier AAA Four-Diamond resort! Information on
this world-class resort facility is available at www.vailcascade.com.
As in the past, the meeting will feature a student-friendly casual
atmosphere with outstanding plenary speakers, original science,
educational opportunities, and free time to enjoy the venue. This
site is well known for its charming village and quaint shops, and a
variety of activities including hiking, fishing, horseback riding,
biking, river rafting, golf, tennis, spa and salon, children's
program, all set against the spectacular Rocky Mountains. The
abstract deadline will be in December 2004 and additional information
will be posted on the conference website
    (http://www.asme.org/divisions/bed/events/summer05.html). For now,
please mark the dates for you and your family to join us!
