Hello All,
Anyone have experience with using usb 2.0 ports, rather than firewire
ports (IEEE 1394), to use the direct capture capability from the digital
camera to the hard drive in APAS (Ariel). We are trying to configure a
notebook computer for direct capture of 3 cameras using the APAS
system. However, many of the newest notebooks are set up with one
internal IEEE 1394 port and can accomodate an additional IEEE 1394 card
through one expansion port, leaving us with only 2 of the 3 ports we
need for the direct capture with the notebook. Meanwhile, 4 USB 2.0
ports sit empty! Any experience with using the USB 2.0 with the APAS
system, or any insights on this issue much appreciated.
