The early registration deadline has been extended and one-day
registrations will be possible for the 5th Engineering of Sport
Conference and Exhibition (http://conferences.ucdavis.edu/sportengr)
to be held at the University of California, Davis from 13-16
September 2004. The conference is jointly sponsored by the
International Sports Engineering Association and the Bioengineering
Division of ASME and will be a forum for exploring the interaction of
technology and engineering in all aspects of sport. We are confident
the internationally contributed program of 172 papers will prove to
be interesting and stimulating. Although the deadline for papers has
passed it is still possible to contribute a poster presentation. The
reduced-fee early registration and poster deadlines of 31 July 2004
are fast approaching.
For spouses and partners attending the conference, day trips to the
state capital in Sacramento (Sept. 13), Napa (wine country) (Sept.
14th) and San Francisco (Sept. 15th) will be available. More
information will be posted on the conference web site shortly. The
conference banquet is being scheduled on a cruise ship so that all
participants and their guests will be able to experience the serenity
and beauty of San Francisco Bay. We hope you will plan to join us in
sunny California in September!
