Research Assistant (vacancy ref. 10584)
This two year appointment is based in the Musculoskeletal Group. You will
investigate age related bone loss in the spine and evaluate new therapeutic
procedures to treat vertebral osteoporotic fractures and prevent spinal
deformity. You will be expected to oversee the day to day running of the
project and supervise a part-time technician.
Some experience in using computer controlled apparatus or in data handling
using spreadsheets is essential. A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science
or Engineering is required. You should also have, or expect to gain
shortly, a PhD in Biomechanics, Human Biology or a related discipline.
Grade : Grade 1A
