  • PhD Scholarships Available: UK

    The Sport Sciences grouping of The School of Sport and Education at Brunel University invites immediate applications for three-year funded PhD Research Bursaries in the field of Biomechanics. Successful applicants will receive a £8000 per annum bursary plus tuition fees at the UK/EU rate for study commencing before the end of October 2004.

    Applications are particularly welcome from students wishing to study the adaptation of muscle and tendon to exercise training, the relationship between muscle-tendon properties and human performance, and the modelling of human performance. Candidates with expertise and interests in other topics are also encouraged to apply.

    Applicants should have, or expect to gain, at least a 2.1 (Honours) undergraduate degree or have completed a Masters degree in Sport Sciences or a related subject.
