CALL FOR PAPERS
The University of Geneva (MIRALab, www.miralab.unige.ch) is pleased to
announce the CAPTECH2004 workshop held in conjunction with the Swiss
French 3rd cycle of Computer Science (CUSO, www.cuso.ch).
An international workshop to stimulate discussion on the current
and future application of all techniques used to capture information on
objects and motions through various technologies and integrate them
within Virtual Environments. Technologies used may include video, laser,
photogrammetry, magnetic sensors, speech, haptic devices etc.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Video Capturing
- Vision-based Motion Capture
- Motion Analysis
- Integration of Graphics and Vision
- Laser-based Technologies
- Ultrasound-based Technology
- Infrared-based Technology
- Augmented Reality
- Networked Virtual Collaborative Environment (NVCE)
- Networked Multimedia and Virtual Environments
- 2D/3D Teleconferencing
- Real-time Virtual Humans Systems
- Automatic 3D Cloning of Faces and Bodies
- Real-time Mixing of Real and Synthetic Pictures
- Telecommunication networked methods
- Audio in NVCE
- Speech Analysis and Synthesis in Real-time
SUBMISSIONS
Register and submit your paper as an electronic
manuscript (in pdf format only) following the
guidelines at http://www.miralab.unige.ch/captech2004/.
AUTHORS' GUIDELINES
Submissions should be 4 pages long maximum including
the title, the list of authors with affilition, an abstract
and keywords. Accepted contributions will appear in the
local conference proceedings. The best contributions
will be selected for an extended version to appear
in a special issue of The Visual Computer journal
published by Springer-Verlag.
Authors should follow the global guidelines for journals at
Springer. Templates for LaTex and Word are available at

AUTHOR'S SCHEDULE
October 30, 2004 : Submission of paper
