I am beginning a PhD studying children's gait on stairs. We are building
a special set of adjustable-height stairs, and we would like to put
forceplates in a few of the stairs. Can anyone tell me:
(1) What make of forceplates would be best to use? Both in terms of
general reliability, and in terms of their being shallow/ thin enough
to implant in a wooden step.
(2) Which stairs should we put them in for maximum data?! We will want
joint moments and powers - we will also have kinematics with a 6-camera
SMART/ELITE system, but no EMGs.
