Dear All,
I have been unable to locate any literature about the amount of force or pressure required to perforate (with a building nail) the plantar surface of the foot. Specifically, I need information about the force required to cause the head of a building nail (5 mm surface area) to be embedded, after stepping upon it, in the forefoot region of the foot. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Noel Lythgo (PhD)
