I am trying to get a hold of Gavin Reid. If any of you know his present whereabouts (email, telephone, etc.) I would appreciate it if you would let me know.
Here are some things I know about Dr. Reid:
1. Gavin received his Ph.D. from Penn State in 1975. He is listed as having graduated from Penn State's biomechanics program (working with Dick Nelson and/or Peter Cavanagh).
2. Gavin was President of the Canadian Society for Biomechanics from 1984-1986.
3. Gavin is the co-author of a book entitled "Anatomy, Mechanics, and Human Motion" published by Prentice Hall (1988). The lead author of this book is James G. Hay.
4. Gavin worked at Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, but a recent check of their web page does not show him still working there.
5. Rumor has it that Gavin is retired and living somewhere in Iowa.
Again, please let me know if any of you have some additional information. Thanks for your help in contacting Gavin Reid.
