The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University
invites applicants for a full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor
position beginning Fall 2005. Exceptionally qualified applicants will
be considered at the Associate Professor level.
The Biomedical Engineering Program at CSU enjoys strong collaboration
with the Professional Veterinary Medicine Program, and applicants with
complementary research interests are particularly sought. Preferred
competence areas within the Biomedical Field include: Orthopaedics,
Cardiovascular Technology, Nanotechnology with Biomedical applications,
Medical Imaging, and Modeling of Biomedical systems to complement
experimental researchers in the Department.
Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to scholarship, the
development of an externally funded research program, and teaching at
the undergraduate and graduate levels. A doctorate in Mechanical or
Biomedical Engineering, or closely related field is required; and some
post-degree work experience is preferred. A full description of the
