    DePuy, a Johnson & Johnson company, is a recognized world leader in the

    We currently have the following position available:

    An opening is available for an engineer to develop and manage research
    projects in the area of sensors research. The successful candidate will be
    expected to be responsible for the application of technical principles to
    sensor research projects.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
    - Design, test, and integrate wireless data communication systems.
    - Perform and establish protocols for laboratory testing of design concepts
    and pipeline products related to strategic initiatives.
    - Conduct hands-on electronic laboratory testing.
    - Maintain laboratory notebook, write test protocols and test reports.
    - Design and integrate (software and hardware) into test and measurement
    systems.
    - Evaluate new technologies and applications.
    - Participate on project teams as technical resource and project lead, as
    appropriate.
    - Perform electromagnetic computational modeling as required.
    - Technical presentations and consulting for internal customers.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:
    - BS degree in mechanical, electrical, or biomedical engineering with 2+
    years medical device development or 3+ years product development experience;
    or MS with 1+ year medical device development or 2+ years product
    development experience; or PhD.
    - Ability to handle multiple projects at once, and to meet milestone
    objectives in a timely manner.
    - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively
    communicate critical design and research information to internal customers
    from various technical and non-technical backgrounds.
    - Ability to interpret data and develop research protocols and practices.
    - Ability to contribute in an innovative team environment.
    - Technical knowledge in circuit design, signal processing, signal analysis,
    statistics, and data analysis, & computer programming.
    - Technical expertise exemplified through professional work experience or
    academic training in one or more of the following technical areas: advanced
    sensor design, advanced circuit design, advanced motion control, advanced
    printed circuit board layout, electromagnetic modeling, electronic design
    automation tools, electronic medical devices, electronic packaging and
    miniaturization, radiation hard electronics, data communication (protocols,
    encoding, encryption), electrical and/or magnetic test and measurement.
