    Doctoral Graduate Assistantship Position Available

    The Division of Athletic Training in the Department of Rehabilitation
    Sciences College of Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated
    student interested in pursuing a doctorate. Applicants: should have a
    personal interest in clinical research; be willing to support and
    develop an upper extremity research agenda of the Musculoskeletal
    Laboratory and Biodynamics Laboratory; and be willing to seek extramural
    funding.

    10-Month Position Available - August, 2005. Renewable for 3 years.
    Location: University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY
    Position Description: research assistant for an athletic training
    faculty
    member in the Division of Athletic Training /Department of
    Rehabilitation Sciences, College of Health Sciences. Additional clinical
    responsibilities include working in a sports medicine clinic

    Qualifications:
    1. 2 years experience as an ATC and/or PT.
    2. Earned master's degree.
    3. Previous experience in research.
    4. Interest in clinical research is required.
    5. Good computer skills.
    6. Good oral and written communication skills.
    7. Interest in mentoring graduate students

    Stipend: $10,000/year (10-11 months), including tuition waiver and
    health insurance for fall and spring semesters. Faculty in the Division
    of Athletic Training have the opportunity to mentor students via two
    available PhD tracks. The University of Kentucky offers a PhD in
    Exercise Science (Biomechanics) through the Department of Kinesiology in
    the College of Education
