    Research Fellow/Assistant in Experimental Spinal Biomechanics

    School of Mechanical Engineering/School of Medicine

    This exciting opportunity in the area of spinal biomechanics is available for a fixed term of three years in the Biomedical Engineering Research Group within the School of Mechanical Engineering, (5** in the last RAE) and is a collaborative programme with Musculoskeletal Services, School of Medicine. The project is led by Dr. Richard M Hall and focuses on a biomechanical investigation of the effectiveness of vertebroplasty in the treatment of spinal burst fractures. The post is funded by the EPSRC and is available from 1 February 2005, or as soon as possible thereafter.

    You will have a PhD (or expect to be awarded one shortly) in a related area involving a significant experimental spinal biomechanics aspect.
