Dear Colleagues,
Can you please bring this advertisement to the attention of your colleagues.
Lectureship in Bioengineering, School of Mechanical & Systems Engineering, £23,643 - £35,883
The School of Mechanical & Systems Engineering is a large academic and industrially-linked school in one of the largest academic Engineering groups in UK Higher Education. We are seeking to appoint a new lecturer in the field of bioengineering, one of our strengths and an area of growing interest nationally. Current research in the CREST interdisciplinary research group, led by Prof Garth Johnson, is centred on the fields of Upper Limb Biomechanics and Assistive Technology, with related interests in the biomechanical measurement of neurological impairments.
Applicants must be qualified to PhD level in Bioengineering or a closely related discipline, and be able to demonstrate a strong potential for research with a track record in refereed publications and preferably involvement in submitting successful grant applications. However, any particularly strong application relevant to our research strategy will be considered. The successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and to CPD and commercial work with our industrial partners.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Prof GR Johnson, tel: +44-191-222 6196.
