Research Fellow in Sports Biomechanics urgently required
(Salary range 12945 - 14991 British pounds)
The West London Institute is seeking a research fellow to
to work on a project funded by the UK Sports Council
the Institute to work with Dr P Grimshaw in the West
London Institute Biomechanics laboratory. The position is initially for
one year but may have the potential for further funding.
It is likely that the successful applicant will have a higher degree in a
relevant area and will be familiar with three dimensional techniques of
measurement.
The duties of the position are:
%to carry out research into the three dimensional (video) analysis of
sprint hurdles.
%to assist the project director with the running of the project.
%to undertake filming and analysis using three dimensional video
techniques
%to liase with coaches, schools and scientific community as to the relevance
and implications of the findings.
%to present the findings to the scientific community
%to produce reports and working packages for the development of sprint
hurdles
%to contribute to the general teaching and laboratory classes in the
Biomechanics laboratory
%to contribute to the general duties of the biomechanics laboratory
