The National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), created in 2000, is becoming an important source of funding for biomechanics in the United States.
NIBIB has published a draft version of its first 5-year strategic plan (2005-2009). The Institute is inviting comments regarding NIBIB's "scientific emphasis, operational emphasis, and strategic priorities."

Comments are due by February 28.
