Dear members
Our laboratory wish to evaluate the extent to which data collected from
a foot pressure measurement plate can be used to detail the functioning
of the foot in terms of fore-, mid- and rear- foot 3D motion. We plan to
directly compare a number of pressure plate measurement parameters to 3
D motion capture data. In a review of the literature we became aware of
a variety of motion capture models that have been used, some for which
repeatability data was available. We operate an 8 camera VICON system in
our laboratory. Our problem is in writing the code for a foot (and leg)
model using the VICON system. We are therefore searching for models that
have already been written for use with the VICON system. If you have a
model of the foot, lower and upper leg (and Pelvis if possible) that you
would be willing to share with us we would be extremely pleased to hear
from you. Given that this would require an input from you in terms of
implementing the model and would save us considerable time in developing
our own model we would be willing of course to discuss some sort of
recompense in terms of authorship on publication(s).
If you can help in any way please do not hesitate in contacting me
Yours Sincerely
Dr Kieran Moran
