JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time Staff Research II level position. Please apply by

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Incumbent will be responsible for day to day research operations in the
Orthopaedic Biomechanics Laboratory including performing biomechanical
testing; maintaining all laboratory equipment; providing technical support
and training to all lab personnel. Perform biomechanical testing
experiments on human cadaver tissue. Perform basic statistical analysis
and document results to Lab Director. Oversee lab chemical and radiation
safety and biohazard protocols.
- 75%: Perform bio-mechanical testing of bone material and bone-implant
systems for ongoing NIH grant, including preparation of specimens from
human cadaveric material and post-processing of data after the tests.
- 25%: Assist in daily oversight of laboratory
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Three years relevant lab experience in biomechanics,
- familiarity with biomechanical testing techniques
- Ability to learn and apply new techniques
- Previous experience in performing statistical analysis
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with
teams
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomechanics or equivalent
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lab management experience
- Experience with lab safety protocols in working with human cadaver tissue
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomechanics or equivalent
SALARY RANGE: Monthly: $2875 - $3304
