    Dear Subscribers,

    On behalf of the scientific committee, we are pleased to announce you that
    the 6th Congress of the Italian Society of Movement Analysis in Clinics
    (SIAMOC 2005) will be help in Tirrenia, Pisa (Italy) from October the 27th
    to October the 29th 2005.

    The second announcement and call for papers is available at the Congress

    together with the schedule and the program of the events.

    INTRODUCTION TO THE CONGRESS
    The 2005 SIAMOC Annual Congress aims to highlight the mission of SIAMOC
    that is to foster the study and the clinical application of movement
    analysis methods, in order to improve the functional evaluation of motor
    disorders and to enhance the efficacy of the treatments through a
    quantitative analysis of data and a more focussed treatment planning.
    The topics of the Congress include motor development in children and the
    study of motor control in adults and in subjects with different
    pathologies. The submission of studies conducted on specific patient
    groups (e.g. cerebral palsy, adult stroke, spina bifida, spinal cord and
    orthopaedic injuries, Parkinson) are encouraged together with studies on
    recent methodological developments related to movement analysis and other
    movement analysis applications (e.g. posturography, upper limb/spine
    evaluation, ergonomics, sports).

    The congress will include main lectures, keynote presentations, oral and
    poster communications, breakfast instructional courses and an interactive
    round table. A satellite event will be held on October 26th.
