FACULTY POSITION AVAILABLE
POSITION: Tenure-track faculty position as an assistant professor in
Kinesiology with a specialization in developmental movement behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS: An earned doctorate in Kinesiology or related field and
evidence of scholarship in motor development (broadly defined) is
required. Enthusiasm and competence in teaching motor development to
students in movement science and pedagogy is expected.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will be expected to continue
and expand our nationally recognized program in motor development
through publication, extramural support and graduate student education.
In addition, the successful applicant will be committed to providing
leadership in our growing undergraduate research efforts.
COMPENSATION: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications of the
applicant.

DEADLINE: Applications will be accepted until the position is filled;
however, the intention is to fill the position for the beginning of
classes by either August 15, 2005 or January 3, 2006. Review of

interdisciplinary research and teaching with numerous departments in
several Schools, the Center on Aging and the Life Course, the
Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, and the obesity research
group, among others. The opportunities for collaborative research and
interdisciplinary scholarship are substantial. The University is
