Greetings Netters,
I am a Master's student who has been assigned a semester project
to report on a comparison in dynamic loading between biomaterials and
engineering materials. The angle that immediatley sprang to mind was
femoral implant components in hip replacement surgery. The comparison could
then fall between bone, surgical steel, and construction grade steel.
The trouble is, I cannot find any papers that detail the
engineering of the components. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
If there is sufficient interest, I will digest the replies.
