The Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for 12 month,
tenure-track positions, available immediately in the Physical Therapy
Department. The candidate will be expected to provide didactic
instruction in his/her area(s) of expertise, have or develop an area of
research activity, participate in departmental activities related to the
startup of a Doctor of Physical Therapy
(DPT) program, and serve on appropriate school and university
committees. Previous teaching experience is desirable. Candidates who
are physical therapists must be licensed in or eligible for licensure in
Tennessee and have a minimum of five years of physical therapy clinical
experience. A post-professional/academic doctorate degree is required.
Faculty needs at this time are for persons with experience in teaching
clinical skills, tests and measures, therapeutic exercise, basic
sciences, and/or pediatrics. Part-time appointments are possible, if so
desired.
