Applications for these projects are now welcome. Closing date is July 8th
2005.
Project 1 in Dublin City University: To develop an in-vitro bioreactor that
can be used to investigate restenosis in stented arteries and preclinically
test different bare-metal and drug eluting stent designs. This project will
be supervised by Dr. Tríona Lally in Dublin City University.
Project 2 in Trinity College Dublin: To develop a numerical preclinical
testing tool that can be used to improve existing stent designs and/or
develop new designs that have a low propensity for restenosis, including
drug-eluting stents. This project will be supervised by Prof. Patrick
Prendergast in Trinity College Dublin.
