Dear Colleagues,
This is to inform you of a call that for 2 post-doc positions has
been issued by the Institute for Advanced Studies ISA of the
University of Bologna (Italy).

Number of positions: 2+1,
Duration: 5 months each
Funds: approx 700 Euro/ month net + travel expenses + accommodation
Research field: Life Science (2 positions) and Natural Science and
Technology (1 position)
Research project for the 2 posts in Life Science: The title is quite
broad to allow the widest possible range of candidates
"Musculo-skeletal adaptations as a consequence of surgical
interventions". One of the candidates is expected to have a strong
experimental background, while the other one will have a strong
computational background.
Starting: Autumn 2005
Deadline for application: 15 July 2005
Grants are funded by the University of Bologna and the selected
candidates will mainly work at the Department of Mechanical
Engineering (DIEM) http://diem1.ing.unibo.it
However, thanks to existing agreements between Rizzoli Orthopaedic
Institutes and DIEM of the University of Bologna, it is expected that
these projects will be carried out in close collaboration.
