Two Phd Scholarships-Bioengineering
Two PhD scholarships are immediately available at the Diagnostics and Control
Research Centre-Auckland University of Technology for highly-motivated
individuals with a Masters or BE-honours in (Bio-) mechanical engineering or
related areas to work within groups of researchers on modelling artery tree
dynamics and respiratory wall dynamics. The scholarship consists of university
fee waiver and monthly stipend.
The research projects involve modelling at cellular level and whole system
dynamics level, and will require experimental validation. The candidate is
expected to have some knowledge in modelling/numerical computation and
experimental techniques of tissue mechanics with particular application to the
arterial tree and lung. Excellent work ethic and the ability to interact with
a team are required.
Closing Date: until the positions are filled
