Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above
lectureships (fixed-term) which are tenable from 1st September, 2005. The
appointees will be required to provide or co-ordinate lectures and supervise
laboratories in areas of the Biomedical Engineering syllabus including
biomechanics, medical implant and device design, surgical practise,
biomedical production and environmental services and to supervise
undergraduate project assignments of degree students. Opportunities may
exist for the appointees to contribute to ongoing research activities with
other staff and members of the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering
Science, which is located on the main NUI, Galway campus.
Candidates may hold a Ph.D. degree in a biomedical engineering discipline
and have relevant industrial or teaching experience in some of the subject
areas listed above.
Salary: €35,733 x 10 = €50,082 p.a
