  • Re: heavy biomechanical load of children spine

    Hello,

I have one study pertaining to school children that comes to mind. The
    information is as follows:

    Eur Spine Journal 11: 459-464 (2002)
Title: A 2-year prospective longitudinal study on low back pain in primary
    school children
    First author: M. Szpalski

    I hope that this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Robert Kell, PhD

Subject: [BIOMCH-L] heavy biomechanical load of children spine

    Dear Biomch-L subscribers,

We are looking for any data concerning biomechanical load in children
(mostly in age between 7 to 13 years old) during lifting and carrying loads.
In Poland children are carrying all books from home to school and back home,
in their bags. This is suspected to create quite heavy biomechanical load of
children spine, which can cause overload and even disorders.

Thank you in advance for any response
