The Department of Biomedical Mechanics at Hospital for Special Surgery
seeks a BS or MS level (MS preferred) mechanical engineer to work in a
hospital-based research and development facility. Responsibilities
include engineering design and analysis of total joint replacements,
spinal implants, and fracture fixation devices as well as the
instrumentation needed to implant these devices. The interested
candidate must have a strong mechanical engineering background, good
analytical skills and excellent communication skills. Experience with
CAD(Pro/E) and FEA(ABAQUS) would be a plus. Salary is competitive and
will depend on the degree and experience level of the candidate.
