ESMAC congress 2005 in Barcelona
Dear All,
There are just three weeks left before the start of this years congress of ESMAC. The
final programme is now available at the webside covering a wide range of different
aspects of motion analysis.
Whilst the Gait Course is now fully booked, there are still some places left for the
Continuing Education and the Seminars.
The material presented in the Continuing Education will cover cases
discussions on CP, SCI, head injuries, Stroke, dysplasia, Spina
Bifida and amputee walking.
Cases will be presented by Dr. Molenaers- Dr. Desloovere (be) - Dr.
Benedetti (I)-Dr. Viewegher (Fr) - Dr Roberts (UK) - Dr. Theologis-
Dr. Buurke (NL)-Dr Baker (AUS)
Lectures will cover subjects on
- Cross-plane interactions and the role of trunk (Baker).
- The role of the gaitlab in clinical service and research (Roberts -
Theologis)
- Musculoskeletal modelling and forward simulation (Stewart-Jonkers)
The three seminar blocks include:
1) Movement Assessment applied in the work environment.

Movement assessment in work ergonomics clinical applications. S. Bittelman
2) Motion analysis of the head and jaw complex: Normal interaction and pathological
aspects.
Cranio-mandibular interactions in the context of pain and movement. J Lund
Non-invasive Study of Mandibular Function and Dysfunction. L. Gallo
Motion, Pain, Function and Simulation in the Cervical Spine. Z. Dvir
3) Spasticity.
Muscle overactivity of the lower limb: Clinical and instrumental analysis F. Molteni
Muscle overactivity of the lower limb: Focal treatment of spasticity using Btx-A F.

Muscle overactivity of the lower limb: Surgical treatment M.A. Keenan
Muscle overactivity of the upper limb: Clinical and instrumental analysis. N.Mayer

Due to the hight demand and the current situation, people wishing to attend the
Continuing Education as well as the Seminars will just have to pay a suplemement
of 180EUR.
Like every years meeting, we have a very tide schedule, but we hope that all
participants will also have the possibility to enjoy the city of Barcelona, as at the
same time there is the main festival of the City, called "Merce".
