  • Contact forces in LSDYNA

    Dear Rochelle,

We have been working with LSDYNA over the past 4 years to construct a
human torso. During this time we have run into many problems and have
had to resort "tricks" to get the program to do what we wanted. You may
want to try this. To display and view contact forces as calculated
through the contact definitions, a few new cards need to be included.
The *CONTACT card should have column 7 and/or 8 turned on (SPR MPR) for
the contacts of interest. Make sure *DATABASE_BINARY_INTFOR is defined.
Then when you type your syntax to run the simulation include
"s=filename" on the command line after the i=input.k. To view the
results from this interface force file in ls-post: File/Open/Interface
Force/[the filename given in the s=" " syntax]. This should get you
    started.

    Jack
