I received a number of responses to my request for normal adult gait data. Thank you to all who responded. Below is a summary:
A number of people pointed out the data tabulated in the back of Winters' Biomechanics and Motor Control of Human movement.

a vast research project was conducted at the "Freie> Universität Berlin" which assemled gait data of four subjects. You can download the results under the following links a description of the hows and tos is given at these homepages.

David Winter has done plenty of work on the kinematics, kinetics and EMG of adult gait. A key reference is the one found at the following web-page:

In the appendices of this book, there is lots of normalised raw data that you can copy into MATLAB and compare your data against.
