Calling all International Post-Graduate Research Students,
The University of the Sunshine Coast (USC), Queensland, Australia is offering one International Postgraduate Research Scholarship for study in 2006 to an international higher degree by research candidate.
This is a unique opportunity for residents outside Australia and New Zealand to undertake postgraduate research at masters or PhD level within the Centre for Healthy Activities, Sport and Exercise (CHASE) at USC. Areas of research strength include: sport biomechanics, clinical exercise physiology, and sports nutrition.
To be eligible for this award you must either be a higher degree by research applicant that satisfies the entry requirements for the proposed degree, including the English proficiency requirements, and must be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand.
Applicants must also meet international student visa requirements as specified by the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA), including the requirement to purchase and maintain a standard overseas Student Health Cover policy approved by the Commonwealth Government Department of Health and Ageing. The value of this scholarship includes the annual course cost for the successful applicant's program and the cost of a standard Overseas Student Health Cover policy. Please note there is no stipend available for this award; however there will be the opportunity to undertake paid employment as an undergraduate tutor.
Awards are available for a period of two years for a Master level research degree, and three years for Doctoral research degrees.
The Closing Date for this Scholarship is 1 October 2005.
