A Post-Doctoral Research Associate position is available on an NIH
funded research project to develop a novel medical device that targets
the removal of cytokines involved in Sepsis and other inflammatory
diseases and pathologies. The position involves developing a
mathematical/computational design model to simulate the device and
performing experiments to validate the model-based simulations.
Applicants require a PhD in Biomedical Engineering or Bioengineering.
The successful applicant should have a strong background and interest in
fluid mechanics and mass transfer associated with cardiovascular
devices. He/she must have the ability to work effectively as a part of
an interdisciplinary team. Good written and verbal communication skills
