We currently have the following position available:
An opening is available for a senior level engineer to develop and manage
research projects in the area of Global Concept Development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develop detailed research plans, perform advanced computational analysis,
and manage internal/external resources to achieve project objectives
+ Make recommendations in support of product development and future
research.
+ Manage research projects involving computational modeling from initial
concept and feasibility through transition to product development.
+ Stay current with advances in orthopaedic surgery, biomechanics, and
biomaterials.
+ Evaluate research proposals relative to strategic objectives and business
plan.
+ Attend technical meetings and participate in activities of technical
societies.
+ Prepare reports and presentations for both internal and external
publication.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
+ Four year bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, computer or
related engineering discipline is required. M.S. preferred.
+ Minimum 5 years medical product development/research, advanced finite
element analysis experience; or Masters degree and 3 years experience; or
Ph.D. with one year experience.
+ Experience using and scripting in ADAMS is an asset. Experience with
custom code development and/or custom scripting of commercial FEA packages
is preferred.
+ Good project management skills, ability to prioritize/manage multiple
tasks.
+ Ability to independently apply theoretical technical principles to
research and product design projects including appropriate statistical
methods.
+ Ability to judge applicability of state, national, and international
standards and regulations to research and development projects.
+ Utilizing both written and oral format, ability to effectively
communicate critical project information to internal and external customers.
