located in WEST ORANGE, NJ currently has the following position
available in support of its Rehabilitation Engineering Department and
the Rehabilitation Engineering Analysis Laboratory (REAL).

    Position: POST DOCTORAL FELLOW

Kessler Medical Rehabilitation Research and Education Corporation
(KMRREC), Rehabilitation Engineering Analysis Laboratory (REAL) is
seeking a post-doctoral fellow who is interested in rehabilitation
research using 3-D movement analysis with adult rehabilitation-related
research in balance and postural control. Research training is
individualized, multidisciplinary and emphasizes the actual conduct of
research. To qualify you must have a Ph.D. with an academic background
in kinesiology, biomechanics, neuroscience, biomedical engineering, or
    rehabilitation engineering.

REAL Postural Control focuses on studies of static and dynamic balance.
Instrumentation provides data collection for motion, EMG, and ground
reaction force with motion and visual input control. For motion and
muscle activity measurements the lab has a VICON-460 motion analysis
system with six high- resolution M2-cameras and tethered MA-100 10
channel EMG system from Motion Lab Systems. A NeuroCom Research Dynamic
Platform system provides balance perturbations. The NeuroCom Research
Dynamic Platform system is a programmable dynamic platform with two
independent AMTI force-plates mounted on the moving stage. The platform
can translate anterior-posterior and laterally, and can rotate to
provide plantar-flexion or dorsi-flexion of the ankle. The system has
the option to replicate current clinical balance evaluation protocols.
Additional equipment includes: two portable AMTI AccuGait and other
force platforms available for postural control evaluations
