Dear subscribers,
I am currently working on ecomorphology of shorebirds (mainly
related with terrestrial locomotion), combining musculoskeletal data with
behavioural and ecological data. Because I have found differences in the
proportion of tendinous and fleshy origin in the same muscle in different
species. I wonder if somebody could explain me which are the mechanical
differences in force output from different proportion of fleshy and
tendinous at the muscle origin.
Thank you.
