    Department of Exercise and Sport Science
    Assistant Professor with a specialization in Motor Behavior

    Position: Assistant Professor, 9-month tenure-track appointment
    Starting Date: August 2006

    Responsibilities:
    Undergraduate and graduate teaching, advising and research supervision in
    motor behavior (including learning, control and development); maintaining
    an active line of research in motor behavior including collaborative and
    interdisciplinary projects; seeking external funding to support research
    and programs; and engaging in departmental, professional and university
    service activities.

    Qualifications:
    Earned doctorate in motor behavior or related area; demonstrated potential
    for nationally recognized scholarly research in motor behavior; interest
    and experience in teaching motor behavior; interest and experience in
    collaborative research; and potential for obtaining external funding.

    General information:
    UNC Greensboro, one of 16 campuses in the University of North Carolina
    system, is a doctoral research-intensive university with approximately
    16,000 students, including 3,700 graduate students. Among UNC Research
    Universities, UNCG ranks 4th in average SAT scores, and 1st in
    racial-ethnic diversity among students (23% non-white). The Department of
    Exercise and Sport Science, with 20 full-time faculty members, is one of 5
    departments in the School of Health and Human Performance (HHP) and offers
    B.S., M.S., M.Ed, Ph.D. and Ed.D degrees. The department is located in
    the HHP building and houses three interconnected laboratories equipped for
