Sorry for posting this to the whole group!
We, Texas Woman's University Biomechanics Laboratory, are looking for
institutions from which we can borrow up to two AMTI force plates for our
upcoming research project. We currently have two AMTI plates and need two
more for our walking pole study which will start either at the end of this
fall or early next spring. It will take 2-3 weeks to collect the data.
Although the analysis program we are using (KwonGRF) is compatible to AMTI,
Bertec, and Kistler plates, we prefer AMTI plates, OR6-5 model in
particular, for consistency. Our plate pit was designed based on this
particular model.
If you are willing to let us use your plates, I'd appreciate your letting me
know. Our preference is an institution or institutions in Texas, hopefully
in the Dallas area, so that we can rent a truck and pick them up by
ourselves. All we need is the hardware (plates, plate bases, amplifiers, and
cables) and a copy of the calibration data page. We have a lot of
experiences with the AMTI plates so we will take a good care of them.
I look forward to hearing from colleagues who are generous enough to let us
