EXERCISE SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
East Stroudsburg University is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-
track position beginning August 2006. Positions typically fill at the
Assistant Professor rank. The Exercise Science Department at East
Stroudsburg University offers a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in
Exercise Science and a Master of Science degree with a major in Exercise
Science and a major in Clinical Exercise Physiology.
Position #04179 Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
in the Exercise Science Department primarily in the area of
Biomechanics/Kinesiology. Responsibilities may include teaching introductory
courses, graduate statistics and research. The successful candidate will be
expected to supervise MS theses, mentor and advise undergraduate and
graduate students; engage in scholarly activity; and provide service to the
Department, University and the Community.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in Exercise Science, Biomechanics and/or
related discipline required for tenure, ABD candidates encouraged to apply.
Preferences: Work experience with diverse populations, evidence of
excellence in scholarly achievement and previous college level teaching. To

Final selection will be based on a successful interview, which may include a
teaching demonstration, and the contents of the candidate’s curriculum
