The Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) within the Engineering Research
Center at Mississippi State University has an immediate opening for a
postdoctoral associate in Soft Tissue Computational Modeling.
The primary responsibility will be development of novel computational models to
describe the biomechanical behavior of musculoskeletal soft tissues such as
tendon, ligament, muscle and cartilage. This interdisciplinary research also
involves the Biomedical Engineering Graduate Program and the College of
Veterinary Medicine.
Qualified applicants should have a Ph.D. in Engineering or related field and
extensive experience in finite element analysis. Experience in modeling and/or
bench-top testing of musculoskeletal tissues is desired.
