    Research Specialist Position

    Department of Movement Sciences, in the College of Applied Health Sciences,
    at the University of Illinois at Chicago invites applications for a
    full-time research specialist in biomechanics position available in a
    laboratory focused on the investigation of locomotion-related falls and
    injuries by older adults. The position is presently available with a salary
    that is commensurate with the candidate's experience. The primary
    responsibility of the specialist is to provide support to the ongoing
    experiments. There can be, however, the opportunity for pursuit of
    individual interests within the scope of the overall laboratory direction.
    Applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in kinesiology,
    mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering or related-field. Applicants
    should possess a desire to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
    The ability to interact with members of a diverse urban community in a
    laboratory setting is considered important. Some experience with motion
    analysis data collection and analysis methods is desirable but not
