    The Program in Physical Therapy at Northern Arizona University, is seeking
    an individual for our dynamic team taught entry-level and post-professional
    curriculum. Candidates will be expected to enhance and contribute to
    curricular content related to the physiological basis of the Neurological,
    Cardiopulmonary, and Musculoskeletal practice patterns. Applicants should
    have previous academic teaching experience or experience teaching physical
    therapists or physical therapy students. Candidates with clinical
    experience in acute care, wellness, and cardiopulmonary settings will be
    given special consideration. Prior experience in development,
    implementation, and completion of research projects, especially clinical
    research is preferred. Additional qualifications include interest or
    experience in distributed learning methods including "web-enhanced"
    courses. Experience with or commitment to work with diverse cultural
    backgrounds is required.

    The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the ability
    to: teach course work commensurate with experience and academic
    preparation; seek internal and external funding; write, present, and
    publish papers; advise students, both before and after admittance to the
    program, develop collaborative experiences for students in the community;
    provide service to the Department, College, University, and Profession;
    assist in the development of non residential and distance learning
    opportunities for the physical therapists in the state of Arizona.

    All applicants must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Arizona.
    Experience with or commitment to work with diverse cultural backgrounds is
    required as well as previous academic teaching experience or experience
    teaching physical therapists or physical therapy students. This position
    is at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on academic
    credentials, experience and university policy regarding faculty
    classification. Post-professional Master's degree required for
    consideration of appointment to assistant professor and an earned
    post-professional doctoral degree (PhD or EdD) and prior university
    teaching experience required for consideration of appointment to associate
    professor. Post-Professional Doctorate preferred, although current
    enrollment in a Doctoral program will be considered.

    Northern Arizona University with an enrollment of 17,000 students is one of
    three state universities. Flagstaff, Arizona is a mountain community known
    for its quality of life, superb beauty and variety of outdoor and cultural
    activities.
