  • Faculty Position: Motor Control / Motor Learning

    The Department of Health, Exercise Science, and Recreation Management at the
    University of Mississippi invites applications for a full-time (9-month),
    tenure track motor control/motor learning faculty position at the Assistant
    Professor level. Individuals with training and experience in any area of
    motor control/motor learning relevant to human movement and health are
    encouraged to apply.

    Qualifications: Qualified applicants should possess (1) a doctorate in motor
    control/motor learning or related field, (2) teaching ability and experience
    in higher education, and (3) a record of publications and grants
    commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities: Responsibilities of the position include teaching
    undergraduate and graduate courses in motor control and motor learning,
    kinesiology, or research methods; publishing research in area of
    specialization; pursuing external funding; developing resources to provide
    on-going support for research activities; and contributing to
    interdisciplinary research collaborations.

    Program: The Department of Health, Exercise Science, and Recreational
    Management offer a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Exercise Science. The Department
    houses the Applied Biomechanics and Ergonomics Laboratory, Applied
    Physiology Laboratory, and Body Composition Laboratory. Detailed

    Availability: The position is available August, 2006.
