    Position Title: Assistant/Associate Professor in Exercise Science; School
    of Human Movement, Sport, and Leisure Studies; Kinesiology Division

    Primary Function: Complete teaching, research, and service in exercise
    science with a focus on exercise physiology

    Primary Responsibilities:
    * Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology
    (e.g., clinical exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription,
    sport conditioning, designing and directing exercise programs) or closely
    related exercise science (e.g., introduction to Kinesiology, functional
    anatomy, laboratory techniques, research methods);
    * Conduct a focused line of research in exercise physiology or related
    area and publish in scholarly-refereed journals;
    * Seek external funding;
    * Supervise students enrolled in exercise specialist and human movement
    science field experience courses;
    * Advise undergraduate and graduate students in exercise specialist,
    human movement science, and developmental kinesiology majors;
    * Participate in activities of the exercise science laboratories and
    related research.
    * Participate in service activities through committee work and other
    activities.

    Professional Qualifications:
    1. Doctorate in exercise physiology or closely related discipline
    preferred; ABD considered
    2. Commitment to quality instruction with evidence of effective
    teaching at the university level preferred
    3. Evidence of research productivity and/or potential
    4. Experience in grant writing desirable
    5. ACSM or NSCA certifications desirable

    Rank and Salary:
    Assistant/Associate professor; salary commensurate with
    qualifications and experience; full benefits

    Effective Date of Employment: August 2006
