This is a continuation of a search for an Assistant Professor in the
Biomechanics specialization at the University of Maryland (USA) in the
Department of Kinesiology. We are looking for someone with human movement
interests and expertise in muscle mechanics, signal processing (EMG
included) and simulation/optimization of human movement. The starting date
will be August, 1994 but the next screening of candidates will begin December
6, 1993.
I will be at the American Society of Biomechanics meetings in Iowa City from
October 21-24. I would be very pleased to discuss this position with
interested persons at that time. I will be staying at the Iowa House, so
please do not hesitate to contact me.
I would be particularly grateful if faculty advisors would communicate this
opening to doctoral students who are completing their degrees this year.
Other details about the duties and the application procedures follow in
the formal job announcement.
