Dear Colleague,
We invite you to attend GRIBOI 2006, the 16th annual Interdisciplinary
Research Conference on Biomaterials (Groupe de Recherche Interdisciplinaire
sur les Biomatériaux Ostéo-articulaires Injectables). GRIBOI 2006 will take
place at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland and is scheduled to
run for two and a half days, from March 16 – 18, 2006.
Building on the increasing success of our most recent meetings in
Baltimore, Limoges and Shanghai, our goal is to organize an interactive
meeting where clinicians and non-clinicians can meet and discuss issues
related to the clinical use of bone substitutes and other emerging
applications of injectable biomaterials for the treatment of hard and soft
tissue disorders. The main scientific topics of the meeting will include:
- bone substitutes
- clinical applications of biomaterials
- dental applications
- injectable biomaterials
- biomechanics of bone augmentation
The meeting is endorsed by many leading biomedical and biomaterials
research societies. The increased clinical focus of the meeting is
underlined by endorsements from AO Spine, the Swiss Society of Spinal
Surgery and the Spine Society of Europe.
We have recruited several leading researchers, clinicians and industrial
representatives to deliver plenary lectures on various aspects of
biomaterial development and application:
